Mechanical markers can be semi-automatic or pump action, utilizing valves and air pressure to reset the internal parts of the marker, allowing for the next shot. Because of this process, mechanical markers are much slower than their electric counterparts. You will find most, if not all, of the higher end markers are now electric to allow faster firing rates and more customization.

Electronic markers use very accurate sensors and electrically controlled valves to reach EXTREME accuracy in timing, allowing for very high rate of fires. They basically allow you to shut much faster. The batteries vary in charging times, but last for hours guaranteeing it’s not going to randomly die will your on the field.

CO2, or carbon dioxide, is much cleaner than regular air. Compressed air contains particles which over time, gum up the inside of your marker. Carbon dioxide is cleaner, because it runs at an extremely low temperature.

It is known to all that woodsball is usually a paintball that is played in the woods! Or, an organized speed-ball field at any other place.

Throughout speedball play, thousands of paintballs are interchanged between players during a single round, and you can desire to witness more than points played in just under minutes of play.

There is a possibility that you will most likely buy and store cases of painting between game-plays. It can be said that if you are not needed to use the paint that is sold in the field.

Paint comes in different kinds of quality, and it can also be said that the quality of the paint will influence your exactness. So, you need to spend in decent quality made ammo for your paintball gun.

Even though you spend in the most expensive and high standard paintball gun, it does not imply that it will enhance your game or accuracy if you fill it with crappy paintballs.

Dimpled or old paintballs could break and leak, or make artificial spin and even leak into the barrel causing, even more, internal loss.

Barrel Upgrades

Like I did notice many times here above, you will find so many factors that affect exactly. Yet another important factor is the barrel that you have with your gun.

It is a simple belief among game-players that if you have long barrel then your shot is more exactness.

Battery Life

The valve of this Tippmann XPhenom Paintball Marker works below 300 PSI which upgrades its efficiency. It is also offering the players more than 1400 shots.

The valve design features that recoil is virtually removed to improve the accuracy of shots. The seamless design also includes several wear parts making it easy to maintain.

The 9.inch of Barrel

This confirms you to shot far away targets up to 150 ft. It also permits you to use five different modes which include Response, semi-auto, NPPL, and a cyclone feed system. You can fire 1balls per second using these features. There is no need to use batteries in this model.

The U.S. Army Project Salvo is constructed with a standard 1inch anodized quick thread barrel, shroud, stock and rails. It features a.6caliber marker that can be paired with the standard paintballs that are available at local stores.

Multiple Critical Systems

The Dye Proto Rail MaXXed Paintball Gun and the internal design enhance its performance.

For example, it features a polycarbonate pipe shield that cleans the anti-chop eye system and confirms the eyes are always observing the ball drop and the breech. It also features an eye pipe system which removes double feeding and missed feeds.

Color Coded O-rings

The coded O-rings are best for maintenance. They make sure that the user can easily control the gun in case of any matter that might occur. Replacing the O-rings is not a difficult task because they can be easily identified because of their individual colors.

Good Ergonomics

The Empire Axe looks excellent on the hands. It is light enough that running around a lot will not make it feel hefty. The Empire Axe has a plenty of room in the grips to let players hold it in many ways compared to the Empire Mini.

The Axe features with an internal gas line. This implies that you can quickly change hands without hitting a gas line.

Empire Axe Performance

When you’re buying your first paintball marker you should decide how much you want to spend and there will always be something to fit your budget. The great thing about paintball is there’s such a wide range of markers so there’s something for every budget.

Plus, many markers can be upgraded, so you can start with a basic model and add to it over time until you have the supreme model you’re really looking for.

There are paintball markers for all budgets and they start from as little as £3for the entry level pistols (JT splatmaster / JT ERPump) to way over £1500 for the top of the range electronic paintball markers (Eclipse CS1, Dye M2).

Paintball Sizes

Before buying any paintball balls you should consider the size of the paintball balls. The current industry standard paintball ball is 6calibers but there are different types of paintball barrels that come slightly with different bore sizes i.e. 40 to 70. The most appropriate thing to do before buying any paintball balls is measuring your barrels size cause many stores offer sizing resources to help determine the perfect paintball balls for you.

Fitness can also be tested by unscrewing your paintball marker barrel and testing whether the paintball ball can fit perfectly.

Reusable Paintballs

Most of the paintball competitions do not used the reusable paintball balls or reballs as they are called. Reusable paintball balls are very clean and are the best for training and practicing. Reballs are of the same size and shape as the regular paintballs the difference is that they only weigh slightly more that the regular ones and also they do leave any mark after the target has been hit.

Reusable paintballs has an advantage in that no has to clean the paintball gear after using since they doesn’t leave any mark. They are also cheaper compared to the other paintballs.

Obtaining the best paintball marker that fits your skill level will require you to do your research thoroughly and understand what the paintball concept is all about. Furthermore, learning the best highlights of a marker is going to take some commitment and will require you to play paintball on a regular basis.

Other Equipment

As I have mentioned above several times, each player is different and we all need to pay close attention to our preferred gameplay style. Therefore, depending on the level of your skill, there are different kinds of equipment that you need on the fields. It’s not just about buying the biggest and most expensive paintball gun, you need other accessories like masks, hoppers, air tanks, cloths, maintenance kit etc. and all these items are readily available online. It all depends on how long you plan on playing, and the amount of pressure that you will withstand on the fields while playing.

If you want to last hours playing, you need to be prepared with tool-kit such as screwdrivers and Allen wrenches even though you are playing with the top-rated gun. To enhance your playing experience, you should invest in a mask and vest just to spice up the game.

As for the markers, there are custom markers available for you to upgrade as you develop your skills and build up confidence while playing. You will need extra tools to upgrade to custom markers.  It is extremely popular among beginners to invest in a customizable gun and then purchase modification kits to be able to use their marker for several years, while having the ability to modify and upgrade the gun.

It goes without saying that woodsball is basically paintball that takes place in the woods! Or, any other place but an organized speed-ball field. Of course there are limits and the fields are usually large acres and the covers are trees, rocks and other things you will find in nature or the covers are made of sticks, dirt or plywood. Due to the nature of woodsball play, it is generally played asymmetrical, it usually requires help of your whole team to get around the playfield. If you are wondering what kind of paintball gun you will need for woodsball, you will be pleasantly surprised by how simple they are. Also, they are big and mechanical and come with great accuracy and efficiency  to play for long time. They work great for long distance shooting  and they basically are suited for any conditions.

This type of game is extremely fast paced and will usually last around 3-minutes. Although it only lasts few minutes, it does not mean that nothing happens! When you are playing speedball games, you will have to move very quickly in order to get the perfect angle on your fellow opponents that are covering them self behind specially designed bunkers. During speedball play, thousands of paint balls are shot between players during gameplay and you can expect to witness more than rounds played in just under minutes of play.

If you plan on playing Speedball, you must have a gun that will respond quickly.  There are many awesome speedball guns available and when you head out there to search for your perfect speedball gun, you should seriously consider a gun that is designed to be used in speedball environment. Always make sure the gun you are investigating will fit your preferred playing style and needs.

There is a chance that you will most likely purchase and store cases of painting between game-plays. That is to say, if you are not required to use the paint that is sold in the field. Paint comes in all kinds of quality and it goes without saying that the quality of the paint will influence your accuracy. Therefore, you need to invest in decent quality made ammo for your paintball gun. Even though you invest in the most expensive and top-rated paintball gun, it doesn’t mean that it will improve your game or accuracy if you fill it with crappy paintballs. In other words, the model will not give you any indication about the performance of the paintballs. Having said that, if you invested in top-quality paint, you need to protect them and make sure you store them properly to prevent them from any damage.

Store your gun, accessories and ammo in dry and cool place. In the event you’re keeping your stuff dissembled in various parts, you have to be certain to change position of the paintballs in order to prevent breakage or dimpling. Old or dimpled paintballs are could break and leak, or create unnatural spin and even leak into the barrel causing even more internal damage.

If you custom order your paintball instead of buying them from your local store, it may minimize incorrectly stored ammunition. To avoid buying damaged goods when you are in a store, always open the container to check the accessories that you are buying. If the paintballs are looking spherical, you will be able to fire them accurately.

Further Tips

Owning and operating the most accurate paintball gun is not about owning a specific brand or model. Favoring one brand over another will not determine your accuracy and the fact is that model or a brand tend to play extremely small role in the buying process. On the other hand, it’s all about proper maintenances, not only of your gun but also the ammunition and accessories. Also, if you practice regularly with your gun, you will notice significant improvement on both performance and accuracy as well. Have in mind that even a less expensive brand could easily out-perform high-end paintball gun is not maintained frequently. As stated above, maintenances and consistency are key factors that will lead to much better accuracy/precision while you play.

It is a challenge for beginners to take their first-step in the world of paintball. It can be a daunting task to research and find the most accurate paintball gun that fits his/her playing style. The reality is that the key factors to consider when choosing the most accurate paintball gun can basically drown a newcomer. Below you will find some very useful information to consider when you search for the perfect paintball gun. The pointers below will also come in handy if you already have a paintball and you are looking into making it a lot more accurate than it is.  Have in mind that in order to upgrade or modify your current paintball gun, you have to own a unit that can be customized and upgradeable.

Choose the Most Accurate Paintball Gun

All right, now that we have analyzed the best position that will help you to improve your accuracy, it’s time to research the most accurate gun that will fit your playing style and skill. So, knowing what to look for is essential. Therefore, you have to make sure that you pick the paintball gun that includes the best features and uses top-rated innovations in the product design. There is also the option to invest in a customizable unit and if you do so, make sure that it is accurate enough to match your playing style.

Battery Life

Investing in a high-flow regulator will do magic for you. It will basically turn your ordinary unit into a super unit. It will greatly enhance the performance of your device as well as improve the accuracy significantly. If any of your team-mates or opponents claim they own the most accurate paintball gun, it is most likely because of a high-flog regulator.

One of the crucial factors that will determine the life-span of your paintball gun is maintenance. You have to maintain your marker regularly in order for it to work properly.  Maybe you notice that the accuracy of your gun has changed in a short time, it might be because the marker is not lubricated enough. Every single part of your gun needs to oiled-up properly even though you have bought the most expensive and the best tournament marker available in the market. If you don’t maintain your unit, you will most definitely face serious issues and it will affect your playing experience.

COwas used for the first paintball markers thus setting the standard for various years on what source to use. When carbon dioxide changes into gas from its liquid state it expands which creates pressure, this pressure is used to fire the paintball via the barrel.

Many COtanks never have to be re-certified or re-tested and are low maintenance. The re-fills are relatively inexpensive and the tanks are compact yielding more shots than compressed air.

However there are some issues, as the liquid expands it also cools and the faster it expands the more rapid the cooling, this can lead to inconsistent shooting. If you ever see white snow falling from the barrel, it’s actually dry ice and a sure sign the liquid is in the gun which could cause mechanical issues.

Compressed Air Tanks

Also known as High Pressure Air (HPA), these are usually pressurised up to the tanks rating of either 3000 or 4500 psi, the pressure is then regulated through the tanks regulator. HPA has consistent pressure and the ability to be used in all weather, accuracy is improved via the higher velocity of the gun with a higher rate of fire.

However there are some drawbacks, if you don’t have a local pro shop getting your tank filled is an issue (we fill these for a cost of £1.00). The tanks are larger and are bulky in comparison to COtanks and they do cost quite a sum more. For a small amount every 5years air tanks must be hydro tested and re-certified.

Mechanical – Mechanical paintball guns are activated mechanically and do not require a battery or electronic board to fire. Each time you pull the trigger, the marker releases one paintball at a time via a pump or bolt system. You then have to cock the mechanism to load the next paintball into the barrel and repeat this process for every shot.

The advantages of using a mechanical gun is that you don’t have to rely on a battery in order to shoot. As long as you have your COor compressed air screwed on to the paintball gun, you are ready to go. Mechanical guns can be helpful if you are out camping or doing an overnight trip where you don’t have to worry about your battery going dead and not being able to play.

Electronic – Electronic guns on the other hand, rely on battery power to fire the paintballs and are capable of firing at high rates of speed. Some electronic guns can fire up to 10-1rounds or paintballs per trigger pull. While it’s nice to have the option of fire superiority when you need it, you’ll also be burning through a ton more paintballs and need to keep this in mind when it comes down to budgeting. Although, electronic paintball guns are now more affordable than they were years ago when they were considered an expensive luxury.

All Paintball guns (mechanical and electronic) are designed to shoot paintballs using compressed air or COas the propellant.

Oklahoma DDAY

Scenario Guns – Depends highly on the type of scenario game you are playing (Military, futuristic, video game or other.) This is where players go all out and bring out some of their fancy guns. Most guns in this category are machine gun, sniper type guns with scopes, red-dot sites, silencers and tripods.

When you get hit by a paintball in scenario paintball, you don’t have to sit out for the rest of the game. All you have to do is get your shot wiped off and get re-inserted by the referee.

DLX Technologies –

Home of the DLX Luxe Paintball Gun. This is the Rolls Royce of paintball markers and one of the most sough-after guns for high end performance and all-out tournament play. Designed to be super customizable to meet the strictest demands of any advanced player. – A relatively new company by the same people that built Smart Parts and the ION Paintball Gun. Some of their quality guns like the GOG eNMEy and the GOG eXTCY have taken the paintball industry by storm.

It force feeds paintballs to the marker via an impeller. It uses a spring or a belt mechanism to move the impeller and has no reliance on gravity. They are the only type of hopper that can sustain the high pneumatic action of electronic markers and are therefore used extensively in all paintball tournaments.

Firing Modes

Paintball markers have various firing modes. While semi-automatic has been the most commonly prescribed shooting method since the 1990s, with the latest improvements, a new mode called ramping has also become really popular.

Fully automatic: It continuously fires paintballs as long as the trigger is pulled. Almost all electronically powered markers have this feature.

Semi-automatic: A single shot is fired each time the trigger is pulled. This feature allows the player to set up his or her own pace while shooting.

Ramping: This is a new firing function, introduced recently. It automatically changes the firing mode to semi auto to fully auto or vice a versa, depending upon certain situations.

Most paint markers paintballs of 0.6caliber but their exact size can vary and may not be the same as mentioned.

It is important to buy good quality paintballs which have undergone a sufficient amount of quality checks. The price may be more but it is better to spend a few extra bucks on paintballs, than to risk any damage to your marker.

Paintball Clothing

Different types of paintball plays have different clothes specifications. But they all agree on some common points. Paintball clothing needs to be durable but should not have excessive paddings. To prevent injuries, players should have knee, chest and elbow guards. A headband along with your mask is also helpful in saving your hair from damage.

Tips for Beginners

Follow all the rules of the game. The rules vary according to the type of play but some rules are common for all. Be sure you are not being problematic for other players by breaking rules.

If hiding is not right and exposing yourself at every chance is also something you must avoid. Try to maintain a proper balance.

Consider your skill level before choosing any gun. For snipers, you will get different models and make-ups of the gun. Expert players may opt for some highly technical and complicated models.

Check and decide about the marker of the paintball gun according to your skill level. A gun with a long barrel will suffice your purpose if you are a sniper. On the other hand, if you are a scenario player or a speedball player, then you must choose a marker that is small in size and durable enough. Also, it must suit the surroundings.

When buying a paintball gun, you need to check the air tank details as well. It is better to opt for HPA based tank in comparison to COas the former is safer and reliable one.

Definitely, prices do matter when it comes to buying the best paintball gun. Consider your budget limits while selecting any gun. It is better to opt for an easily affordable gun.

It is perfectly suited for snipers. It has an

Eye Pipe system that allows you to shoot smooth and sharp shots. The chances of missing or double feeding are quite low with this gun. The gun has a new shim stack and the Sticky Grips system. The Spyder Fenix is incredibly light and compact, couple that with its simple and easy to maintain design and you get a marker that even the most inexperienced player will be able to use effectively and keep running smoothly. The Fenix boasts one of the quickest and easiest tear downs of any marker. The bolt can be pulled out in seconds with no tools, and a squeegee can be run through the entire marker, so even if you were to break paint inside your marker it will barely slow you down.

Empire Mini GS

The Empire Mini has been a popular choice as an entry level electronic marker for years now.The company has refined the design of the Mini even further with the Mini GS. The Mini GS is quite small, light, and is a great choice for younger children looking to get into the sport. Let’s not forget those players who just want a more compact marker to use. Lighter and compact means less tiring on the arms during long periods of play. The Mini GS even comes with an On/Off ASA you can use to shut off the air supply to your marker without removing your air tank.

GOG’s eNMEy is a solid choice for beginners. It’s body is built from lightweight polymer, so it’s great for younger players. It’s quieter and more ergonomic than Tippmann guns, and has a few nice additional features, including a bolt that slides out of the back for easy maintenance, though it will still require more upkeep than a Tippmann. The eNMEy is also capable enough to do double duty as a speedball marker if you think you might want to test those waters.

Proto Switch

The Proto Switch is built around Proto’s quick change lens system. It has a soft, rubber lower mask that will give you a comfortable fit and promote ball bounces, a feature usually reserved for more expensive masks. These masks can also swap out the foam, to keep this mask going strong for years to come without requiring you to jury-rig a replacement.

JT Spectra Flex-8

The Spectra Flex-is the only full-head mask on this list, which makes it appealing for a new player, especially a young one, who might be concerned with taking a hit to a part of the head not covered by most of the other masks on the market. It doesn’t have any kind of quick change lens system, so on those rare occasions when you need it, you’ll be forced to take the lens apart the slow, old-fashioned way. It does boast a thermal lens and comes in a variety of sleek camo designs, though.

Sly Profit

The Sly Profit is velvet-lined for comfort, and sports its own variation on a quick-change lens system. It also comes in a wide variety of styles, making it perfect for either woodsball or speedball. Some players have issues with the fit of the Profit, but overall it is a well-designed mask that will work for any kind of play style.

VForce Profiler

The VForce Profiler is one of the workhorses of the paintball industry. Most every player has tried one, and most still swear by it. The Profiler has one of the widest fields of vision of any goggle, quick-change and camo styling. Its only real weakness is price, but for the money, a Profiler is a sound investment.

HPA Tanks

High Pressure Air systems are better. The only caveats to that are that an air tank will usually be more expensive, and might be a little more difficult to fill. That’s because of the extreme pressure that paintball tanks use, between 3000 and 4500psi. Most paintball guns operate at 800psi or below. HPA is necessary for most high end guns, as COcan damage electropneumatics. HPA is also more stable, and isn’t dependent on the weather the way COcan be.

HPA has one further wrinkle. There are two different kinds of tanks, operating at different pressures and designed from different materials. Steel tanks are smaller, and operate at 3000psi. Fiber-wrap tanks are larger, and operate at 4500psi, but because of their construction tend to be lighter than steel tanks at the same capacity. HPA tank sizes are measured in cubic inches. Both a higher psi and a higher ci mean more shots per fill.

Electronic Loader

HPA will cause your marker to become more efficient and increase your overall accuracy. HPA is a better alternative to Cofor the reason that Cohas to expand from a liquid to a gas in order to be used correctly inside of the paintball marker. This is done automatically with your Cotank and paintball marker. Although there are many factors that play a role in how quickly or slowly the liquid can expand. Temperature and rate of fire are two of the biggest factors in how efficiently the Coexpands.

The warmer the day the easier it is for the Coto expand and vise-versa with how cold it is causes it to expand more slowly. Higher rates of fire can also cause slower expansion rates because the Codoesn’t have time to expand all the way. This ends up hitting the paintball with small amounts of liquid Cocausing the ball to spin or curve when coming out of the barrel. By using an HPA tank you no longer have to worry about the expansion of gasses. Since all HPA tanks use a regulator which assures you that you will hit the paintball with a constant pressure each and every time you fire a paintball. HPA is also a cleaner gas and will actually make your O-rings inside your marker last longer than when using CoSome of the downfalls to having an HPA tank include the fewer places to fill them and a higher upfront cost. Overall if you’re looking to improve your accuracy and efficiency then a tank upgrade should be your first stop.

Barrels are the most common upgrade for any marker. They can also be the most confusing upgrade because of all the different types of barrels out there and different sizes. The first thing you have to ask yourself is what are you looking for when choosing your barrel? Are you wanting to get better accuracy or more distance? The common misconception with paintball barrels is that like with real rifles, the longer the barrel the more accurate the marker. This isn’t necessarily true. Yes a longer barrel will make your marker easier to aim, so hitting your target is easier, but it will not make the paintball go straighter or add more distance to your shot.

Accuracy – Barrel kits are the best way to increase accuracy using a barrel. They come with multiple barrel backs or sleeves that allow you to adjust the bore size of the barrel to better fit the paintballs you’re using that day. Barrel kits are more expensive, but you can’t beat them in terms of accuracy. If you’re looking for cheaper options there are great barrels our there too. What you want to look for when buying new barrels is what the bore size of that barrel is. Bore sizes range from about.69to.67in bore size. The most come paintball is.6caliber, but can range from the same sizes listed before. Most stock barrels come in as.690 caliber. This allows for a wide variety of paintball to be used without issue. For your first barrel upgrade you should start at about.68caliber, and as your game expands so will your barrel collection.
